Compiled in 1325 and rediscovered in 1904, the Codex Las Huelgas is the only manuscript of its time that has been preserved in its original location: a Cistercian monastery in Compostela, along the road to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain. It gives us privileged access to music written three centuries before its completion.
