The Folk World Collection album is divided into two CDs, featuring a tracklist that combines traditional British folk music, Celtic melodies, and instrumental world music. The performers in this compilation are mostly independent folk and fusion musicians whose work was licensed for these types of themed releases in the late 1990s.
