Simon Moullier - Elements Of Light (LP)

The fifth studio album Elements of Light by French-born vibraphonist, composer, and producer Simon Moullier seamlessly blends traditional acoustic quartet jazz, modern electronic production techniques, and Brazilian rhythmic influences. Released through the prestigious Candid Records label, Moullier's airy vibraphone playing is backed by his trusted lineup—Lex Korten (piano), Rick Rosato (bass), and Jongkuk Kim (drums)—alongside guest appearances by top-tier musicians such as trumpeter Marquis Hill and pianist Gerald Clayton. The project stands out with its catchy melodies and hazy soundscapes, where analog synthesizers and 808 drum machine loops intertwine with live jazz improvisation to create a fresh, 2020s urban sound.
