Royals: Spring 76 (LP-vinyl)

The Royals’ Spring 76 is the debut album by the Finnish rock power trio formed by Albert Järvinen, Pave Maijanen, and Ippe Kätkä, which became an instant commercial and critical success upon its release in May 1976 via Love Records. Expectations were exceptionally high, especially with Järvinen having just left Hurriganes, and the album fully delivered by offering an exceptionally international and virtuoso sound for Finland at the time: it blended heavy blues rock, funk, and early reggae influences in the spirit of idols like Cream, and its massive popularity earned the band a gold record with sales exceeding 30,000 copies.
