Plop: Unicorn (CD)

PLOP's album Unicorn (2015) is the group's third studio release, featuring the core trio of saxophonist Mikko Innanen, bassist Ville Herrala, and drummer Joonas Riippa expanding their sound with electronic elements. Released by Fiasko Records, the ten-track album features guest keyboardist and producer Ville Riippa, whose drum machines, effects, and turntables blend seamlessly into the band's unpredictable style. The album is a playful, genre-bending, and surprising body of work, where free improvisation and peculiar soundscapes meet a deep swing and the trio's trademark subtle humor.
