PLOP's album Nahka-aurinko (2026) is an acclaimed studio release by the veteran Finnish jazz trio consisting of saxophonist Mikko Innanen, bassist Ville Herrala, and drummer Joonas Riippa. Having played together for over 15 years, the group is renowned for their energetic, boundless, and heavily improvisation-driven expression that blends free jazz, deep swing, and subtle humor. Released by Fiasko Records, the five-track album showcases the trio's seamless interplay, where composed themes serve as launchpads for unpredictable and often surprising musical adventures.
