At the beginning of 2026, Pelkkä Poutanen was awarded the title Artist of the Year at the Eläköön Folk gala with the following words: “The Artist of the Year is an exceptionally original and cross-border artist whose work renews the Finnish music scene in a way that few can.”
The new album is both a bright light and a completely lightless space. It declares love for life and states that even those who are not already dead will die. Poutanen's first album was recognized with Teosto Award and Etno Emma nominations.
