Magneettimiehen kuolema (1970) is one of the most significant masterpieces in the history of Finnish rock music, seamlessly blending Pekka Streng’s delicate, mystical, and profound folk poetry with the masterful progressive rock of the band Tasavallan Presidentti. The album is renowned for its timeless classics, such as "Sisältäni portin löysin" and "Gilgames," and it remained—alongside a second studio album—the only body of work released during Streng's lifetime before his untimely death in 1975. The 2019 vinyl reissue (EAN 6430039013742), released by the record label Ainoa!, is a meticulous and limited 300-copy collector's edition that honors the sound and artistic legacy of the original Love Records release.
