Oulu Sinfonia, Rumon Gamba: Scenes From Finland

Released in August 2026 on the Chandos label, this SACD album brings together British conductor Rumon Gamba and the Oulu Symphony Orchestra to perform lesser-known yet atmospheric Finnish orchestral works. The recording showcases 20th-century compositions by Jean Sibelius, Selim Palmgren, Einar Englund, and Kalervo Tuukkanen, painting rich and northern musical landscapes for the listener. This new release offers a dynamic and fresh perspective on the vast heritage of Finnish orchestral music through a brilliant collaboration between one of Finland's top orchestras and the acclaimed British conductor.
