The Littorina Saxophone Quartet's album Leaking Pipes (2025) is the debut release by a powerhouse avant-garde jazz supergroup consisting of four top-tier Nordic and Baltic innovators. Recorded at Helsinki's Hietsun Paviljonki in March 2024, the album features Finland's Mikko Innanen, Estonia's Maria Faust, Sweden's Fredrik Ljungkvist, and Lithuania's Liudas Mocknas. Spanning ten different saxophones from sopranino to bass, the 37-minute record is a hypnotic, boundary-pushing display of free improvisation where individual compositions blend into a seamless and unpredictable multi-reed soundscape.
