Many talented artists have been left behind in the world of classical music due to gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background. It is essential for the development of music to recognize that we cannot see and hear the history of classical music as a whole if voices are ignored and discriminated against.

Finnish composers Ann-Elise Hannikainen, Helvi Leiviskä and Cecilia Damström have all created wonderful, still largely unknown works for the violin repertoire.

My Unrecorded album series aims to tell the stories of these lesser-heard tunes and bring overlooked Finnish works to life by bringing the manuscripts to life in easily accessible recordings.

Releasing recordings of these marginalized works is crucial, as it will raise awareness of this wonderful music, allowing it to be heard by future generations.
