Junttu: Simple Songs to Give Away vol 1 (CD)

Juha Junttu’s versatile career began in the late 1980s as the charismatic founding member and lead vocalist of the AC/DC-style hard rock band Horsepower (also written as Horse Power), and he is also known for his time in the punk rock band Kivesveto Go Go. Alongside rocking out, this Tampere-based artist has built an extensive career as a freelance actor, theater composer, and vocal coach, appearing in major musical roles such as Hair, Rent, and Blood Brothers. A strong contrast to his long history in rock and theater is provided by his solo album Simple Songs to Give Away Vol. 1, on which distorted guitars are replaced by stripped-down acoustic and hopefully melancholic folk music.
