Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic XIII: "Celebrating Mingus 100" - Various Artists

The concert "Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic – Mingus 100" on April 13, 2022, was one of Europe's biggest events celebrating the centenary of the legendary bassist, bandleader, and composer. Curator Siggi Loch assembled a unique ensemble of master musicians from across the Atlantic for the occasion: Magnus Lindgren (saxophone and arr.), Georg Breinschmid (b), Gregory Hutchinson (dr), Danny Grissett (p), Matthias Schriefl (tp), Camille Bertault (vocals), Shannon Barnett (tb), Tony Lakatos (saxophone) and Jakob Manz (saxophone). The recording of this celebrated concert is the latest release in the Jazz at Berlin Philharmonic series.
