Aston Kalmari: Mammanpojat (LP-vinyl)

Aston Kalmari is a Finnish rock band formed in Lappeenranta in 2018, consisting of members Ville, Samu, Heikki, and Jarkko. Their second studio album, Mammanpojat, released in May 2024, is a concept album that sensitively and honestly addresses societal expectations placed on men and young boys, mental health challenges, and confronting difficult emotions. The band is known for their energetic Finnish rock sound that combines catchy melodies with deep, relatable lyrics. The tracks on the album, such as the single "Sininen huone," reflect the band's characteristic way of processing heavy and taboo topics in an accessible format.
