Angela Hewitt: The Bach Recordings (27 x CD BOX-SET)

Angela Hewitt: The Bach Recordings is a monumental 27-CD box set released in January 2026, bringing together for the first time the complete Johann Sebastian Bach keyboard recordings made by Canadian pianist Angela Hewitt for the Hyperion label over a span of nearly 25 years (1994–2018). Acclaimed by Gramophone magazine as the preeminent Bach pianist of our time, Hewitt's magnum opus covers the composer's core keyboard repertoire. As a fascinating highlight, the collection includes two entirely separate recordings of the Goldberg Variations, The Well-Tempered Clavier, and the Six Partitas, allowing listeners to hear how her interpretations evolved over the decades. The comprehensive set is rounded out by Bach transcriptions, piano concertos recorded with the Australian Chamber Orchestra under Richard Tognetti, and extensive booklet notes written by the artist herself.
