Released in August 2026 on the Naxos label, this CD album launches a chamber music series dedicated to the Austrian composer Joseph Marx, featuring the acclaimed Finnish violinist Minna Pensola alongside cellist Vida Vuji and pianist Simone Sgarbanti. The late-Romantic repertoire includes Marx's Suite in F Major and Pastorale for cello and piano, as well as the dramatic, rarely recorded Violin Sonata No. 2 (Spring Sonata), which beautifully showcases Pensola's expressive violin playing. The recording offers a rare and profound journey into the melodic and richly textured Austrian Romanticism of the early 20th century.
