Scheduled for release in September 2026 on the Ondine label, this CD album features world-premiere recordings of pivotal orchestral and vocal works by the late legendary composer Kaija Saariaho. The album stars soprano Anu Komsi alongside the BBC Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sakari Oramo. At the heart of the recording are the Saarikoski Songs—set to the poetry of Pentti Saarikoski—Saariaho's final major orchestral masterpiece Vista, and Three Preludes, together offering a poignant and historically significant insight into the composer's late oeuvre.
