Pohjonen, Kimmo (accordion) - Sensitive Skin

Award-winning Finnish accordionist, composer, and adventurer Kimmo Pohjonen is releasing his new album Sensitive Skin on Ondine's Octopus label.

The album is being released on Ondine's Octopus sub-label and follows the successful Uniko album (ODE 1185-2), which was released by the Kronos Quartet and Samuli Kosminen.

Sensitive Skin features Pohjonen's new compositions, which explore a dynamic new soundscape together with the Kronos Quartet (string quartet) and several Finnish musicians.

Kimmo Pohjonen says: "This is the first album where I had enough time to plan and record at a comfortable pace in my own studio, allowing the music to evolve organically and exactly as I wanted it to. In addition, my daughters' vocals greatly influenced the music and the design, creation, and arrangement of the album. I am more than satisfied, even excited about the results."
