Alban Berg's operas Wozzeck and Lulu – the latter left unfinished due to the composer's death – are among the most significant musical theater works of the 20th century thanks to the perfection of their composition and the connection they create with important literary works. In this production by renowned theater and opera director Adolf Dresen, the role of Wozzeck is played by German baritone Franz Grundheber and the role of Marie by legendary soprano Hildegard Behrens.
