Baritone Andrè Schuen began his career with Deutsche Grammophon in 2020 with a critically acclaimed interpretation of Schubert's Die schöne Müllerin, recorded with his duo partner Daniel Heide. In 2022, the pair added to their discography with the album Schwanengesang, which won the 2023 Opus Klassik Award in the solo song category. Now they complete their trilogy of Schubert's most important song cycles with a thoughtful and moving interpretation of 24 introspective songs that make up the composer's Winterreisen.
