Johann Sebastian Bach / Andrea Bacchetti: Das Wohltemperierte Klavier

The Italian newspaper La Repubblica calls him almost Italy's "most talented Bach pianist," and Andrea Bacchetti has performed internationally on the world's greatest classical music stages. When Bacchetti talks about Bach, he calls his music "his life, day and night." Hardly any other pianist can interpret Bach's music in such a modern and precise way as this Genoese musician. On his latest album, he has now devoted himself to the second part of Johann Sebastian Bach's Well-Tempered Piano Book, one of the central works of the Baroque era, in which Bacchetti has specialized for years. For example, his recording of unpublished Scarlatti sonatas won an ICMA award. On this album, too, Bacchetti brings the necessary sharpness to Bach's musical microcosm, thus completing a cycle that makes the listener sit up straight and pay attention to his interpretation.
