Born into a family of musicians, guitarist and composer Bruno Battisti D'Amario (born in Rome in 1937) received his artistic training at the Conservatorio Musicale di Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied under maestros Benedetto Di Ponion and Mario Gangin. In 1960, he met Ennio Morricone, who was involved in many collaborative projects as a solo guitarist (classical and electric guitar) on the soundtracks of his films. D'Amario also took composition lessons from him, which led to a strong working relationship that lasted over 20 years. He has collaborated with composers such as Nino Rota, Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov, Nicola Piovani, and others. D'Amario knows the guitar perfectly, exploring all its tones and colors to create fantastic soundscapes, refined harmonies, and flowing melodies. Guitarist Adriano Sebastiani is a student of D'Amario and now a close friend; his playing shows a deep knowledge and affection for the idiom of this wonderfully original music. Riccardo Bini joins him in working on the guitar duo.
