The album features texts by two notable contemporary Finnish poets, Edith Södergran and Eino Leino, set to music by Sarmanto. The album includes music in both Finnish and Swedish and celebrates the nearly two decades of collaboration between Sarmanto and Kilpeläinen. In addition to Kilpeläinen and Sarmanto, the album features some of Finland's leading jazz musicians: Jussi Kannaste (tenor saxophone), Juhani Aaltonen (flute), Wade Mikkola (double bass), and Thomas Törnroos (drums).
